Tighe Blackadar, LCSW


Clinical Director, Therapist

Tighe earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Outdoor Education in 2011 and his Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 2015 at the University of New Hampshire. He is licensed as an independent clinical social worker in the state of Maine. He has worked with youth since 2012 in a variety of settings, including community mental health, school social work and experiential and outdoor adventure programs. Tighe’s approach to therapy pulls from a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems Social Work. He believes in the healing benefits of time spend in nature and the power of building healthy interpersonal relationships. He enjoys traveling and spending as much time in the backcountry as he can.

Samantha Blackadar, LCSW

Executive Director

Samantha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire. With a clinical social work background, she has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including home-based services, schools, and outpatient care. As Executive Director of Wild North Counseling, Samantha oversees business operations and strategic direction, ensuring the practice remains a supportive and sustainable environment for both clients and clinicians. Outside of work, Sam enjoys outdoor adventures, spending time with her dogs, and savoring a good cup of coffee.
